Old Navy - Toronto
Project Brief:
Corporate Critical Project for Gap as this was Old Navy’s first launch internationally. Due to the high profile nature of this project, there was keen awareness and deemed necessary that the project was completed on time. The facility was designed to handle Toronto initially, but later expand to additional Canadian footprint.
Project Deliverables:
Facility was acquired and needed retrofitting to meet Gap’s needs. Total under roof square footage of 738K square feet and ability to ship to 95 stores. The project was completed in under 1 year to ensure the on time launch of Old Navy internationally. Two high speed sorters installed – one was a presort and the second sorter was a shipping carton sorter. Unit picking towers installed and could handle 27K SKUs. Selective and Push back racking installed.
Benefits
The facility was able to receive 12.3M units per year and ship the same amount. Peak Day picking Units estimated at 114K units & 18.5K SKUs. The facility was designed for future capability to handle 125 total Canadian stores.
